what is the difference between scattering and refraction of lighwaves
Asked by Mahesh Gwarrier | 12 Sep, 2015, 05:58: PM
Expert Answer
Scattering involves bending of light due to particles of the medium or any obstacle in the path of the ray of light in the same medium.
Refraction involves bending of light due to change in the medium.
In scattering the speed of light does not change, whereas in refraction speed changes due to which the light bends.
