Following are a few suggestions to study maps:
i. One can list down the places or elements one needs to study and then find them in a study map. World atlas can be utilised for this purpose until the point it becomes fairly easy through practice.
ii. On a different blank map, one should write down the names of places or elements one can recollect. One can ask someone else to check their correctness with the help of the study map that is kept aside.
iii. One should keep doing this until the point one can identify all the places or elements on the map without referring to the study map.
iv. Map reading is easier when one studies a map for a short span of time and then tests oneself repeatedly, by ascertaining the locations of places and elements.
v. One has to remember that the study map should be used judiciously while studying.
