General theory of relativity generalizes both the Newton's Universal law of gravitation and special theory of relativity. It explains law of gravitation and its relation with other forces existing in the nature. The general theory explains the concept behind the current cosmological models which is based on the expanding universe.
General theory of relativity disobeys certain laws of classical mechanics and special theory as the object that are in same inertail frame cannot accelerate with respect to each other.
