A plant cell is defined as a cell which has a nucleus and organelles bounded by a thick and rigid cell wall.
An animal cell is a eukaryotic cell, enclosed by a plasma membrane and containing a membrane-bound nucleus and organelles.
Respiration is a catabolic process of releasing energy from the simple sugar glucose for carrying out various life processes.
Golgi bodies consist of a stack of about six flat disks and receive proteins made in the endoplasmic reticulum that changes and packages proteins manufactured inside the cell.
The cell wall is present only in plants. It is made of cellulose and provides shape and rigidity to the plant cell. It protects the cell from disease-causing agents and the underlying protoplasm from mechanical injuries.
