Photochemical smog is a kind of pollutant which is formed when pollutants like hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxide react with sunlight.

Though photochemical smog is often not visible, it may lead to severe eye and respiratory infections. Many such cases have been observed in the regions where the concentration of photochemical smog is high.
