what is meant by power of accomodation of the eye ? how is it related to the focal length of the eye lens?

The power of accommodation of the eye is the ability of the eye to observe distinctly the objects situated at widely different distances from the eye, on account of change in the focal length of the eye lens by the action of cililary muscles holding the lens.
 
Focal length and power are related as
 
P = 1/f
 
OR
 
f = 1/P
