Boyl's Law:

At constant temperature, the volume of a given mass of a dry gas is inversely proportional to its pressure.

straight V equals straight K 1 over straight P

K = constant

straight P subscript 1 straight V subscript 1 space equals space straight P subscript 2 straight V subscript 2

Charles's Law

At constant pressure, the volume of a given mass of a dry gas increases or decreases by of its

original volume at 0°C for each degree centigrade rise or fall in temperature.

At temperature T (K) and Volume V (cm3 )

straight V subscript 1 over straight T subscript 1 equals straight V subscript 2 over straight T subscript 2
