The amount of solar energy which is received by the Sun is known as insolation. The Sun’s energy reaches the Earth as short waves.
It is on the basis of insolation that the Earth is divided into various heat zones. Differences of insolation on earth, causes our weather and regulates our climate. Changes in times of insolation is responsible for our seasons. Insolation is really the main source of energy that supports many planetary processes and makes life possible on this planet.
