Addition reaction:

It is a reaction in which one molecule combines with another to form a larger molecule with no other products.

Substitution reaction:

Substitution reaction which is also known as single displacement reaction or single replacement reaction is a chemical reaction during which one functional group in a chemical compound is replaced by another functional group.
