Expert Answer
Cytoplasm is a semi-liquid, colourless and translucent fluid which forms the entire living portion of the cell inside the cell membrane, except the nucleus.
The endoplasmic reticulum is a series of membrane-bound tubes and chambers within a cell. The basic function of the endoplasmic reticulum is to store fats and proteins, and it serves as the transport system of the cell.
Mitochondria are scattered throughout the cytoplasm and are oval or rod-shaped structures which are the primary energy source of the cell. It is also termed as the powerhouse of the cell, converting chemical energy stored in food into readily usable biological energy
The plasma membrane is the outer most covering layer of the animal cell which encloses cytoplasm. It gives shape to the cell.
Vacuoles contain cell sap and are concerned with storage, digestion and waste removal. They have no basic shape or size, and their structure varies according to the needs of the cell
