Atomic mass is the mass of an atom.
The mass of an atom of a chemical element expressed in atomic mass unit i.e., a.m.u.

Each element has different atomic mass as their number of protons and neutrons are different.
Some elements also have different atoms with different mass because of the different number of neutrons, such atoms of elements are known as isotopes.
In that case, their atomic mass is approximately equivalent to the average mass number allowing for the relative abundance of different isotopes.
