The region of the ocean that lies between 3,000 and 6,000 meters below the ocean's surface is called the abyssal zone. The temperature here is frigid and pressure is 100 times greater than those at the ocean's surface. Very rare type of organisms are found in this zone which includes mainly marine invertebrates and several kinds of fishes like male anglerfish, viperfish, squids
