What is a black hole? What are the similarities between a vampire star and black hole

A black hole is a place in space where gravity pulls so much that even light can not get out. The gravity is so strong because the matter has been squeezed into a tiny space. This can happen when a star is dying

In certain binary systems—the smaller star “sucks” material from its aging neighbor, and turns into a blue straggler. The smaller star becomes bigger, hotter and bluer, and its companion, on the other hand, becomes a small piece of the stellar remnant; hence the name, “vampire star”.

Though both phenomena involves absorbing neighboring material, vampire star becomes more visible but black holes are not visible
