What does the area under v-t graph and time axis represent? Justify.

Dear student,

the area bounded by the line and the axes of a velocity-time graph is equal to the displacement of an object during that particular time period. The area can be identified as either a rectangle, triangle, or trapezoid.

we say that distance measure is a scalar and displacement measure is a vector. Scalar has a magnitude and vector has both a magnitude and a direction. Scalar is one dimensional and vector is two dimensional.
