What do you understand by frequency modulation? A signal of 10 kHz and peak voltage 20 V is used to modulate a carrier wave of frequency 10 MHz and peak voltage 40 V.Calculate a) depth of modulation .b) side bands frequencies.

Frequency modulation is a type of modulation in which the frequency of the carrier wave is changed in accordance with the amplitude of the modulating wave.For this the modulating wave is superimposed on a high frequency carrier wave in such a way that the amplitude of the modulated wave is same as that of the carrier wave but its frequency gets modified. 

Given : E = 20 V , E c = 40 V ;

           f m =10 kHz , f c = 10 MHz =10,000 kHz

       a. depth of modulation (Modulation index) ,

        Syntax error from line 1 column 49 to line 1 column 73. Unexpected '<mstyle '.
