What do you mean by mechanical waves?

Expert Answer
Those wave which require medium to propagate is called mechanical wave. It can not transfer the vibration kinetic energy of particle without medium. Example- sound wave, wave on water surface.
There are two types of mechanical wave
1. Transverse wave
W. Longitudinal wave.
