What do you know about the internal resistance of the cell? On what factors does it depend?

The resistance offered by the electrolyte of a cell between its electrodes, to the electric current, is called internal resistance.

 
Internal resistance depends upon the following factors:
  1. It is directly proportional to the concentration of the electrolyte.
  2. The nature of electrolyte.
  3. It is directly proportional to he distance between two electrodes.
  4. The area of electrodes inside the electrolyte.
