what do u mean by the heating effect of electric current and magnetic effecct of electric current.please give some examples of the appliances in which these effects are used.

When an electric current is passed through a metallic wire, the wire gets heated up. This is known as heating effect of current.
Uses of heating effect of electric current:
1. Electric room heater or an electric heater
2. Electric Fuse
When electric current passes through a wire, it behaves like a magnet is called the magnetic effect of electric current.

Uses of magnetic effect of electric current:
When a compass is brought near a current-carrying conductor, the needle of the compass gets deflected because of the flow of electricity. This shows that electric current produces a magnetic effect.
