Uses and drawbacks of composting:

(1) The use of compost improves the fertility of soil as it provides nutrients to the soil.

(2) Dry composting toilets are a hygienic and cost-effective solution to dispose off human wastes.

(3) A major drawback of composting is that, due to lack of adequate knowledge, most of the people do not segregate wastes in their homes, which hampers the process of composting.
