Properties of Carbon monoxide
1.Carbon monoxide is a colourless and tasteless gas, it has a faint odour.
2.It is a highly poisonous gas.
3.It is soluble in water.
4.It is a thermally stable gas, i.e. it does not decompose even at high temperatures.
5.Though it is a combustible gas, it is a non-supporter of combustion. In air it burns with a blue flame to form carbon dioxide.
