What are the effects of a force acting on an object?

Effect of force acting on an object is to change state of motion of object.
(1) If the object is initially at rest, applied force make the object to move in the direction of force.
(2) if the object is already in motion, applied force will increase the speed of motion if the direction of
applied force is same as the direction of motion.
If the direction of applied force is in opposite direction, depends on the magnitude of aplied force
the speed of object will be reduced, or completely stopped, or the object is moved in opposite direction
