• Air pollutants can be in the form of particulate matter which can be very harmful to our health.
• Some of the effects include irritation to the eyes, nose and throat, and upper respiratory infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia. Others include headaches, nausea, and allergic reactions, lung cancer, heart disease.
• Continual exposure to air pollution affects the lungs of growing children.

2. Water Pollution

• Humans are affected by water pollution as they get diseases such as hepatitis by eating seafood that has been poisoned.
• Contaminated water can cause cholera due to poor drinking water treatment from contaminated waters.

3. Noise Pollution

• Prolonged exposure to noise to a person will damage their eardrum, which may result in a permanent hearing impairment.
• Other effects include headaches, irritability and nervousness, etc.

4. Soil Pollution

• It can harm living organisms in the soils and humans that come into contact with them by touching, breathing or eating crops from contaminated soils.
• Humans who eat plants or animals that have accumulated large amounts of soil pollutants may be poisoned.
