- Resources are important for us as we utilise them to satisfy our wants.
- Many minerals like iron, copper, mica etc. are used in industries for manufacturing various goods.
- Minerals like coal and petroleum are used for the generation of electricity.
- Natural resources like water and air are indispensable for human life. Life cannot exist on earth in the absence of these resources.
- Minerals like nitrogen are used in manufacturing fertilisers which help in increasing the fertility of the soil. This results in increased agricultural production.
