what are spherical waves?

the term is npot spherical wave/ it is spherical wavefront.
wave is the form of energy which travels through a medium.
wave front is the locus of all the particles in the medium vibrating in the same phase.
when the source is point source, enrgy emits in all dir, as an expanding sphere.
the wave fronts are sphere with centre as a source.
