What are solids liquids and gases?

Solids- The state of matter in which the the particles are tightly or closely packed with each other are called solids.
Solids have definite shape and volume.
Force of attraction between particles is high.
Liquids - The state of matter in which the particles are less tightly packed than in solid are liquids.
Liquids take the shape of container in which they are kept.
Force of attraction between particles of liquids are weak than in solids.
Gases- The state of matter in which the particles are far away from each other are called gases.
Gases neither have definite shape nor definite volume.
Force of attraction between the particles of gases is negligible and they are free to move in random directions.
