What are Point and Non Point sources of pollution?
Point sources are those sources of pollution which are emitted directly into water bodies. Example, discharge of household sewage.
Non point sources are those sources which carry natural and human made pollutants into lakes, rivers or seas affecting the aquatic life. Example, an eroding stream bank is a non point source of pollution.
