Hi Lakshay, 

One-syllable adjectives are formed by adding -er and -est

Examples: clean, cleaner, cleanest 

Two-syllable adjectives ending in 'y' are formed by adding -ier and iest 

Examples: dirty, dirtier, dirtiest 

Two-syllable adjectives ending in -er:

Examples: clever, cleverer, cleverest 

Two-syllable adjectives ending in -le:

Examples: simple, simpler, simplest
