What are nouns?

A noun is a word that refers to a thing (table), a person (Anila Shree), an animal (rabbit), a place (India), a quality (elegance), an idea (fate), or an action (submission).
There are mainly four types of nouns:
Common - Noun that refers to people in general. Example: man, shop, bridge, etc.
Proper - Noun that identifies a person, place or thing. Exampe: New Delhi, Anderson, Monday, etc.
Concrete - Noun that refers to things that exists physically and can be seen, touched, heard or tasted. Example: coffee, train, beach, etc.
Abstract - Noun that refers to ideas, feelings and qualities. Example: truth, danger, happiness, etc.
