In simple words, a germinal cell is a cell from which other cells are derived.

A germ cell refers to an ovum or a sperm cell or one of its developmental precursors.

Somatic cell is any of the cells of a plant or animal except the reproductive cells. Somatic cell does not participate in the production of gametes.
