Bone is the chief component of our skeleton. It consists of organic and inorganic materials. Organic matter consists of bone cells, collagen fibres and blood vessels. Inorganic matter consists of compounds of calcium and phosphorus.
Bone is living as well as non-living as it contains both, organic and inorganic matter.
