What's friction?

Expert Answer
Friction is the force which develops at the surfaces of contact of two bodies and opposes their relative motion. It always acts in the direction opposite to the applied force.
For example :- When we push a heavy bag kept on the ground the force present between the bag and ground is called frictional force.
