we have our geography project on TOURIST DESTINATION AND TOURIST DEVELOPMENT IN INDIA.Please, can u give me some ideas regarding this topic.It's for 2o marks.icse project.I had asked this before but now the topic was slightly changed.

You can include following points in your project:
  • Discuss and explain the maining of tourism
  • Give a brief history of tourism in India (you can say that in ancient times, many Buddhist pilgrims toured India to gain information about Buddhism)
  • You can discuss about famous tourist destinations in India- like  Heritage tourism (Taj Mahal, Qutb Minar, forts in Rajasthan etc.), Eco Tourism (backwaters of Kerala etc), Adventure Tourism (trekking- the Himalayas, visit to the Valley of Flowers etc), Cultural tourism (visiting the tribal lands in Odisha, Jharkhand etc,) and mention in brief about medical and business tourism.
  • You can also include the topic, "Potential of Tourism Development in the North East". Talk about the natural beauty, trekking in the Himalayas, cultural significance, tribal culture, dance and wild life sancturies in the North east Indian States.
  • Discuss about the steps taken by the Government of India and various state governments to promote and develop tourism in India like the theme of incredible India.
