We are given 100gm of ice at -20℃ and 200 gm water at 20℃. On mixing them, What will be the composition (amount of ice and water) and temperature of the final mixture?

Heat rejected by ice to come till Temperature 0C = 100×1×20= 2000 cal
Heat accepted by water to come till temperature = 200×1×20 =4000 cal
So only 4000-2000 = 2000 cal is excess
Temperature will become 0C 
So 2000 = m×Lf = m×80 => m= 40gm
So in final composition temperature would be 0C
The amount of ice would be 60gm and amount of water would be 240gm
