Value of power factor of L.C.R circuit which is in the state of resonance?

-At resonance, Inductive resistance (XL) is equal to capacitive resistance (Xc)
-The Power factor is nothing but cosine of phase angle between voltage and current.
-For RLC circuit, the pf is also given by
begin mathsize 12px style Cosϕ equals straight R over straight Z
straight Z equals square root of straight R squared plus left parenthesis straight X subscript straight L superscript 2 minus straight X subscript straight C superscript 2 right parenthesis end root
At space resonance comma space straight X subscript straight L equals straight X subscript straight C
straight Z equals straight R
Power space Factor space Cosϕ equals 1 end style

- Therefore, the value of power factor of L.C.R circuit which is in the state of resonance is unity (one).
