In ABC, since A and B are acute angles the sides opposite to these angles, are

BC and AC respectively, and AB is hypotenuse.

Since cosA = cosB

BC/AB = AC/AB

BC = AC,

Hence

A = B

........... since angles opposite to equal sides in a triangle are equal.
