Two trains of the same length but with the different speeds pass a stationary pole in 4 seconds and 5 seconds respectively. In what time will they cross each other when they are moving in the (a) same direction and (b) opposite direction?

Let L metre be the length of each train.
If first train crosses stationary pole in 4 seconds, then its speed = ( L/4 ) m/s
If second train crosses stationary pole in 5 seconds, then its speed = ( L/5 ) m/s
if both trains travel in same direction, time taken to cross each other =
if both trains travel in opposite direction, time taken to cross each other =
