Two numbers are in ratio 4:1. If 5 is added to both the numbers, the quotient obtained by dividing the larger number by the smaller number is 3. Find the numbers

Let the no.s be x and 4x.

4x+5/ x +5 = 3

3* x+5 = 4x +5

3x + 15 = 4x +5 

15-5= 4x -3x

x = 10

no,s are  10,40
