two kids are playing with marbles numberinf 410 . one of them arranfes 5 marbles in a heap and other arrang es 7 marbles in heap. if total number of heaps formed both is 70 , how many marbles each have?

Let x and y be the numbers of marbles of two kids.
Given that x + y = 410 ....(1)
Also given that the sum of the heaps of 5 marbles and the sum of the heaps of 7 marbles is 70.
Thus, we have,
....(2)
Rewriting the equation (2), we have,
7x + 5y = 2450....(3)
Multiply the equation (1) by 5, we have,
5x + 5y = 2050....(4)
Solving equations (3) and (4), we have,
7x + 5y = 2450
-5x - 5y = -2050
Adding the above two equations we get, 2x = 200
So, x = 200
Substituting the value of x in equation (1), we have, y = 210.
Thus, x=200, y=210
