Q moves with uniform acceleration of 3 metre per sec square. find the distance between them 30 seconds after start. which one is ahead and why?

Answer:
Movement of P:-
First 10 seconds accelerated motion with acceleration 4 m / s2 ;  hence S1 = (1/2)×4×10×10 = 200 m
speed after 10 seconds v = 4×10 = 40 m/s
distance travelled next 20 seconds S2 = 40×20 = 800 m/s
total distance travelled in 30 seconds = S1+S2 = 200+800 = 1000 m

Movement of Q:
Distance travelled in 30 seconds S = (1/2)×3×30×30 = 1350 m

Hence Q is ahead of by 350 m
