Hi Sanskriti Bisaria,

The relation between the loudness or intensity of sound and amplitude in air is given as

begin mathsize 12px style straight L proportional to space straight A squared or space straight L equals space kA squared end style

where, k is a constant.

If the loudness of sound is increased by four times then the amplitude must be doubled.

That is,L' = k(2A)2
