To compute a linear equation of 384 and 26?

Expert Answer
we see that the hcf of 26 and 384 is 2.
384=26 x 14 + 20
26=20 x 1+6
20=6 x3 +2
6=2 x3 +0
the remainder is zero in the last step , at that time the divisor is 2, so the hcf is 2
writing the above equations backward manner we will get to write 2 , the hcf, as the linear combination of 384 and 26.
2=20-[ 6x 3]
=20-{26-(20 x1)}
=[20x2] + [26 x (-1)]
=[{384-(26 x14)} x2] +[26 x (-1)]
=[384 x (2)]+[ 26 x (-29)]
