Time period of a pendulum in air is T , it is submerged in a liquid. Such that relative density of material of bob is 4 .find the time period in liquid ?

Let m is mass of bob. Its weight when immersed in liquid  = mg - (m/4)g  = mg(3/4)
 
hence effective acceleration due to gravity  g ' = (3/4)g
 
Time period in air,  T = 2π ( L/g )1/2  ..................(1)
 
Time period in air,  T ' = 2π ( L/g' )1/2  ..................(2)
 
Hence    ( T ' / T ) = (g/g')1/2 = [ g / (3g/4) ]1/2    or  T '  = T (4/3)1/2 = 1.155 T
