The energy from the sea can be obtained mainly in the following three forms:
1. Tidal energy
2. Wave energy
3. Ocean thermal energy

Disturbances are produced by deposition of sediments by glaciers and rivers on the ocean floor. The layer below is in semi molten state due to which the disturbance in equilibrium between oceans and continents produce movements causing earthquakes.
Also, the movement of tectonics plates below the sea causes natural disaster known as 'tsunami'. A tsunami is a large destructive ocean wave that can be generated by any disturbance that rapidly displaces a large mass of water, such as an earthquake, volcanic eruption, landslides.
However, the major cause of earthquake is the movement of the tectonic plates. The earthquake occured in Nepal was also due to the movement of tectonic plates.

NOTE: Keeping this in mind you can elobrate accordingly as per your project requirement.
