There are 30 girls and 27 more boys than girls in a school band. If 12 more boys join the band ,what will be the new ratio of the number of girls to the number of boys.

Number of girls in a band = 30
Number of boys in a band = 30 + 27 + 12 = 69
30 ÷ 69 = 10: 23
Therefore the new ratio of the number of girls to the number of boys is 10:23.
