Let the numbers are in AP be a - d, a, a + d
The sum of three number in A.P. is 27.
a - d + a + a + d = 27
3a = 27
a = 9
The product of first and last is 56.
(a - d)(a + d) = 56
a2 - d2 = 56
92 - d2 = 56
d2 = 81 - 56 = 25
d = ± 5
Then the numbers are 4, 9, 14 or 14, 9, 4.
