the sum of the digit of a two -digit number is 12 .if 18 is added to it the digit are reversed . find the number

let the number be 10x + y
x + y = 12......(1)
10x + y + 18 = 10y + x
9x - 9y = -18
x - y = -2.....(2)
solve (1) and (2) to get the value of x and y.
