The redii of two charged metal spheres are 5 cm and 10 cm both having the same charge 60 mC.if they connected by a wire then. a) a charge of 20 mC flows through the wire from larger to smaller sphere.b)a charge of 20 mC flows through the wire from smaller to larger sphere.c)a change of 40 mC flows through the wire from smaller to larger sphere

Answer:
When two charged spheres are connected by conducting wire, charge density will become uniform throught the surface area of both spheres.

let us first calculate this uniform surface charge density = charge/total-Area = (60+60) /{ 4π×(25+100) } = (0.24/π) mC/cm2

excess charge on small sphere = 60 - { (024/π)×4π×25} = 36 mCi

This excess charge 36 mC will flow from smal sphere to large sphere
