Moment of inertia I of solid sphere about an axis passing through centre is given by, I = (2/5)MR2
 
By parallel axis theorem, Moment of Inertia I' of solid sphere about an axis at atngent is given by,
 
I' = (2/5)M R2 + M R2 = (7/5) M R2
 
Hence radius of gyration of a sphere about tangent = (7/5)R2
