The physiochemical approach to study living organisms called?a-classical biology, b-applied biology, or both

It can be both classical biology and applied biology. Physiochemical biology includes several scientific disciplines such as biological chemistry, biophysics, bioorganic chemistry, and molecular biology which can be only approached by applied biological processes like recombinant DNA technology, DNA fingerprinting etc. But it can be argued with the classical approach like for example biophysics, researchers apply the principles and methods of physics to investigate and find solutions to problems in biology. Evolutionary biologists are familiar with the principles of geology and may even work closely with geologists while attempting to determine the age of biological remains.
