The Guano Islands are mainly rich in nitrate deposits as compared to the other islands. Give reason.

The dry climate of these islands helps in preserving chemicals like nitrate. In other cases, the climate of islands and equatorial regions is moist and humid, and so the nitrates get washed away. This makes the deposits comparatively less rich in chemicals.
